Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Danny Thornley, trading as Thornley Flooring, a sole trader based in Oswestry, Shropshire. Danny Thornley is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us:

• Email: [email protected]
• Phone: 07765 007 483

We only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to us through our quote request form. This may include:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your location or postcode
• Details about your flooring enquiry

We do not collect any sensitive personal data.

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Respond to your quote request or enquiry
• Send you a confirmation email acknowledging your enquiry
• Contact you by phone or email to discuss your flooring requirements

Our lawful basis for processing enquiry data is legitimate interests — specifically, responding to a direct enquiry you have made to us. Where a job is agreed, we process your details on the basis of performing that contract.

We will never use your data for unsolicited marketing, and we will never sell or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We retain enquiry data for up to 12 months from the date of your initial contact. If a job is carried out, we may retain relevant contact details for up to 6 years for accounting and legal purposes, in line with HMRC requirements.

After these periods, your data is securely deleted.

Your data may be processed by the following trusted third-party service that helps us operate this website:

• GoDaddy (Airo) — our website hosting and form submission platform. Enquiry data passes through their infrastructure. Where this involves transferring data outside the UK, GoDaddy provides appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.

We do not use any other third-party services that process your personal data.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal retention obligations)
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
• Portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format
• Objection — object to our processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
